Nellie Doris Silliman Thach

Mrs. NELLIE DORIS SILLIMAN THACH, 81, of Lewisville, Texas, formerly of Little Rock, passed peacefully into the arms of her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2014. She was born Aug. 30, 1933 in Hampton, Ark. Known to her students as "Mrs. Doris", much of her joy in life came from her many years spent teaching preschool at the Pulaski Heights Baptist Day School. She was a long time member of the Pulaski Heights Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, John David Thach in 1999; her parents, Walter and Maude Ritchie Silliman; two brothers, Sam and Gervas Silliman and a sister, Ann Strickland. She is survived by a son, John David Thach III and his wife, Stephanie, of Colleyville, Texas; a daughter, Janell Lynn Thach, of Lewisville, Texas; a sister, Sue Drummond of Spring, Texas; a granddaughter, Madeline Thach of Colleyville, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews. She was laid to rest Saturday, Sept. 6, 2014 at 2:30 p.m. in the Promise Land Cemetery.
