Daniel E. Haskins

Daniel E. Haskins, 94, of Stuttgart died peacefully Saturday, Sept. 6, 2014, at Baptist Health—Stuttgart. He was born Dec. 18, 1919 in Humphrey to Daniel and Amy Haskins. A World War II Navy veteran, he was a retired body man and farmer. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Virginia, an infant grandson and two sisters. Survivors are his and Virginia's daughters, Jerry Fisher Matthews of Little Rock and Dana Dickson of Stuttgart; grandchildren, Danny Fisher (Sheb) and Doug Fisher of Little Rock, Mark Fisher (Elizabeth) of Bauxite, Nancy Fisher Garrido (Laz) of West Palm Beach, Fla. and Traci Dickson Felts (Terry) of Stuttgart; great-grandchildren, Garrett and John Robert Felts of Stuttgart, Morgan Felts of Fayetteville, Stuart and Sam Fisher, Lucas, Ericka and Ava Grace Garrido of West Palm Beach, Fla., Kristen Fisher Burrows and Laura Elizabeth Fisher of Little Rock, Kate Trotter and Kelsy Trotter of Little Rock, Jessica Fisher of Naples, Fla. and Allie Neal and Bren (Zach) Lyons of Bauxite and seven great-great-grandchildren. Special thanks to Dr. Dennis Yelvington, Dr. Noble Daniels, Dr. Charles Clogston and Crestpark Nursing Home for their wonderful care of our dad. Graveside services, officiated by Dr. David Bush, are 10 a.m. Wednesday at Lone Tree Cemetery by Turpin Funeral Home of Stuttgart. The family requests memorials be made to Dana's House, 303 W.
