Sarah Del Cargile Fiser, born June 19, 1919 and a former longtime resident of Morrilton, died on September 8th at Presbyterian Village in Little Rock, Ark. She was preceded in death by parents, J.D. and Adella Claire Cargile, her husband Robert Harold Fiser Sr, and her son Dr. Robert Harold Fiser Jr. She is survived by her son Paul Cargile Fiser (Gayle), daughter-in-law, Charlotte Fiser, grandsons Robb Fiser and Chuck Fiser (Anita) and five great-grandchildren, Avery, Charlie, Andrew, Lilly and Hill Fiser. Sarah Del graduated from Morrilton High School, attended Central Baptist College and graduated from UCA (ASTC) in Conway, Ark. She managed the J.D. Cargile & Co. dry-goods store and later completed her master's degree in Special Education. She taught high school English at Wonderview before serving over 30 years in the South Conway County School District as elementary special education teacher, Junior High Counselor and later as a Senior High Counselor where she initiated the annual Career Day program. Sarah Del was active in the community as president of several organizations and was named Outstanding Citizen of the Year for her volunteer service as editor of the book: Conway County - Our Land, Our Home, Our People. She also loved to travel with her friends. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. on Thursday at First Presbyterian Church in Morrilton, Ark. preceded by a 10:00 a.m. visitation. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. Pallbearers are Bill Gunderman, Charlie Jackson, Bobby McKuin, Simon Bookout, Edd Hoyt, and Clell Watts. Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Morrilton or to Presbyterian Village in Little Rock, Ark.
