Charles Byrd

Charles Byrd, 82, of Pine Bluff, passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2014. He was born August 25, 1932 in Yell County, to the late Fred Loren Byrd and Maude Nichols Byrd. Mr. Byrd was a member of the First Pentecostal Church of God for more than 50 years. He had a passion for Christ and loved to hunt and fish. Mr. Byrd was preceded in death by siblings, Ruby, Ruth, Clyde, Carl and Cecil. Mr. Byrd is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Mrs. Jewel Dean Byrd; daughter, Cherry Jones (Jackie); son, Billy Byrd (Cindy);four grandchildren, Melissa Stewart, Heather Brown, Candice Henderson, Thaddeus Byrd; four great-grandchildren; sister, Reatha Jay; brother, Clarence Byrd and a host of friends. Funeral services will be Saturday, 10:00 a.m. at Fuller Hale-South Funeral Chapel with Reverends Odell Lindsey, Ronald Grundy, and Mark Huff officiating.
