D.L. Williams Jr., 81, of Hughes, Arkansas died Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at Regional One Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. Mr. Williams was a member of the Hughes First United Methodist Church, Farm Manager of Bruins Plantation, Secretary and Treasurer of McGee Planting Company, Chartered member of the Hughes Community Water Board, Democratic Central Committee, former Constable at Horseshoe Lake and coached Little League Baseball and Girls softball. He was preceded in death by his parents, D.L. Williams Sr. and Mary Kathern McConnel Williams, a son, Donnie L. Williams III, and a daughter, Tommie June Brown. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Martha June Warner Williams of Hughes, Ark.; four grandchildren, Blair Brown Houtas, Warner Brown, Parker Reeves, Bailie Reeves Munoz, four great grandchildren, Lew Brown, Audrey Brown, Bella June Brown and Camryn Reeves. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, September 11, 2014 at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis with graveside services on Friday, September 12, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion, Arkansas.
