Clifford B. Allen

Clifford B. Allen, 84, of Batesville, Arkansas, formerly of West Memphis, Arkansas, died Saturday, September 13, 2014 at the White River Medical Center in Batesville, Arkansas. Mr. Allen retired from the United States Air Force after 20 years of service with five tours overseas, the last being Vietnam, and as warehouse manager for Fred Jones Manufacturing Company after 20 years of service. He was a 54-year member of the West Memphis Masonic Lodge, the Scottish Rite and a Shriner; a member of the West Memphis First Baptist Church for 51 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Houston Calloway and Iva Pearl Floyd Allen; his wife of 41 years, Lucile Swan Allen and adopted son, Joe Swan; his twin brother Lewis, his brother Jimmy, sisters, Ila, Alma, Ernye and Iva. He is survived by his wife, Elsie Wrenn Allen of Batesville, Ark.; a son, Dwayne Allen (Pamela) of Maumelle, Ark.; three grandchildren, Joshua Allen, Madison Allen Cliff Allen Swan (Amy). Visitation will from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a Masonic Services at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, September 15, 2014 at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis, Arkansas with Graveside services with full military honors 11 a.m. on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion, Arkansas.
