Lee Arthur Allen

Rev. Lee Arthur Allen Sr. passed September 11, 2014. Born on November 17, 1935, to Sylvester Lloyd and Mae Ella Cunningham Allen in Wrightsville, Ark. He was a lifelong member of Beebe Chapel CME Church in Wrightsville. He was a Navy veteran and attended Lane College in Jackson, Tenn. He was a minister and Presiding Elder for 59 years in the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church until 2013. He was preceded in death by his brother, S.L Allen, Jr. He leaves his wife of 46 years Malinda "Jackie", children: Lee Allen, Jr, Atlanta, Ga., Rev. Dr. Faith Allen, Eric (Tracy) Allen, and Carol Collins, all of Kansas City, Mo., Beatrix Allen Scott, Little Rock, Una (Richard) Carroll, North Little Rock, and Malinda Allen, Brooklyn, N.Y., sister, Bobbie Botley, Wrightsville, Ark.; aunts, Johnnie Mae Plant, Wrightsville. Ark.; Maggie Cunningham and Rose Cunningham, Little Rock, Ark.; sister-in-law, Lerinee Allen, Chicago, Ill.; 25 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren. Family hour will be held from 6-8 p.m., Friday, September 19 and funeral services will be Saturday September 20, 2014 at 11 a.m. both at Beebe Chapel CME Church, Wrightsville, Ark.
