David Wayne Jean of Benton, Arkansas died after a brief illness Saturday, Sept. 20, 2014. He was born Oct. 12, 1951 in Walnut Ridge, Ark. He was the son of the late Faye and William Jean. He is survived by the mother of his three beautiful children, Mary Coolick Jean; his son, Alexander Jean; two daughters, Michelle and Sarah Jean of Little Rock and two brothers, Eddie Jean of Benton, Ark. and Alan Jean of Texarkana, Texas. David attended Arkansas State University, where he was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon. He was a master plumber and the owner of David Jean Plumbing Heating and Air. His greatest joy was being with his family and friends and taking excellent care of his customers. He had a special fondness for the Colorado Mountains and snow-skiing with his family. They were the world to him. He will be remembered for his humility and genuine kindness by all who knew him. A funeral service is at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2014 at the Roller-Chenal Funeral Home Chapel, 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, AR 72211, (501) 224-8300, with a reception to follow. A private family burial will be held later that day. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10-11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, a memorial may be made to your favorite charity or Lake Valley Community Church, 910 Shady Grove Road, Hot Springs, AR 71901.
