Shawn Marcus Van Camp, 40, of North Little Rock, Arkansas, died unexpectedly at his home Monday, September 22, 2014, from complications of Type 1 Diabetes. He was an employee of the Arkansas Secretary of State's office. He is survived by a son, Ethan; his father, Marcus Van Camp and stepmother, Patti of Jasper; his mother, Diana Wilson Gray and stepfather, Mike of Springdale; a brother, Scott Van Camp and wife, Sarah of Fayetteville; his fiance'e, Martha Nicholas; stepsisters, Sara Hall and Rachel Gray; stepbrother, Michael John Gray; uncles and aunts, Mike and Mary Wilson, Joe and Jan Van Camp, Nelson and Theresa Driver, and Mike Van Camp; a great-aunt, Margie Jensen; and a special childhood friend, Beth Housh Ogden. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Jim and Betty Wilson of Austin, and Lawrence F. and Alice Van Camp. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Smith – Westbrook Funeral Home in Beebe. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday, September 26, 2014, at Smith – Westbrook Funeral Home, with burial in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens.
