Addie Rue Sowell

Addie Rue Sowell, 79, of Austin, went to be with the Lord Thursday, April 2, 2015. She was born January 12, 1936 in Scotland, Ark. to the late Johnnie T. Jones and Nancy Esther Blue Jones. Addie was also preceded in death by her brother, Olen Jones and sister, Wanda Meeks. Addie was a longtime faithful and active member of Pleasant Hill General Baptist Church. She was an employee of Baldwin Piano for 35 years. Addie enjoyed cooking, sewing, canning, gardening, and fishing. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and loved them very much. Addie is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Sherrill Sowell, brother, Joe Wayne Jones (Wanda) and sister Mary Hanks all of Scotland, Ark., and numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 4, 2015 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Clinton, with Pastor Curtis Fain, Bro. David Jones, and Bro. Ron Byrd officiating. Burial will follow at Halbrook Cemetery in Center Ridge. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
