Beulah Jane Thompson

Beulah Jane Langston Thompson, daughter of the late Reverend Lancelot L. and Pearly Springer Langston, was born August 26, 1926, at Ash Flat, Arkansas, and passed away April 8, 2015, at her home in Paragould, Arkansas, at the age of 88 years. She was a retired employee of General Motors in St. Louis, Missouri. She was a longtime Christian and member of the Camp Ground United Methodist Church in Greene County, Arkansas. As long as her health permitted, she belonged to the group of ladies who quilted at the church. Beulah Jane was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Cloyce E. Thompson. She and Cloyce met and married after she moved, with her parents, to Beech Grove around 1946 where her father was the Methodist minister, as well as the minister for Camp Ground Methodist Church. She is survived by several cousins; sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law; nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; and great-great-nieces and nephews. Beulah Jane had many friends and relatives in Calico Rock, Little Rock, Heber Springs and Paragould, as well as in the St. Louis area. Visitation will be at 12:30 p.m. preceding the service at 2 p.m. on Saturday at the Camp Ground United Methodist Church with Rev. Eddie Harris and Rev. Everett Isom officiating. Interment will be in Greene County Memorial Gardens, Paragould. Memorials may be made to the Camp Ground United Methodist Church, 1976 Greene 628 Road, Paragould, Arkansas 72450.
