CAROL DEAN WALTERS HOLCOMB passed away surrounded by her family on April 10, 2015 at the age of 71. She was born in Little Rock on Feb. 26, 1944, the daughter of George and Lois Walters. Carol was first and foremost a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother (Tutu) and friend. Carol considered herself lucky to have maintained friendships with many people she had known all her life. She danced on Steve's Show for 4 1/2 years during the late fifties and early sixties where she was the Coke girl. Through a close friendship developed there, Carol met her husband, Bob, and they enjoyed 52 years and seven months of marriage. She had numerous hobbies which included tennis and bridge. At one time, Carol was ranked #2 in Arkansas for Women's Tennis Doubles. She was a Life Master Bridge player and she enjoyed many wonderful and close friendships as she played duplicate bridge at The Bridge House and home games with a very special group of close friends. Just mention Tunica or Las Vegas and Carol was ready to go and always had a wonderful time. Slot machines were her specialty. She never met one she wasn't confident of beating. Carol is survived by her husband, Bob; their sons,Todd and his wife Debbie, Brian and his wife Diha; grandchildren, Robyn Holcomb Coles and her husband Andrew, Erin LeNarz Prather and her husband, Blake, David, Savannah and Maximus Holcomb and Charles Robert Coles, Robyn and Andrew's son who will arrive in June - Carol and Bob's first great-grandchild. She is also survived by her sister in law and brother in law, Barbara and Butch Penney; her former daughter-in-law, Tahirih; her sister, Sue Bustion; and many nieces and nephews who loved her very much. Carol's animal family of cats, Napoleon and Josephine and their dog, Charley, filled her days with unconditional love. Carol was always concerned about her family and friends and was the first to step up in times of need always placing the needs of others ahead of her own. She will live forever in all our hearts. A visitation will be on Monday, April 13, 2015 from 5-7 p.m. at Ruebel Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at Ruebel Funeral Home with Robert McDaniel officiating.
