LENA G. MOORE, 90, of North Little Rock, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2015, at Baptist Medical Center in North Little Rock. Born Feb. 22, 1925 in Arkansas City, she is predeceased by her parents, Jobie and Janie Glover, her late husband, Willie H. Moore and her late son, Carl D. Moore. She retired from the North Little Rock School District after teaching the 4th grade for 47 years. Dedicated to education, she earned a Bachelors degree from Philander Smith College in 1948 and earned a Master's degree from the University of Arkansas in 1958. Survivors include a sister, Roxella Hudson of Pacoima, Calif.; two sons, Gregory Moore of North Little Rock and Wayne Moore of West Hartford, Conn.; granddaughters, Jessica Carlotta Moore of North Little Rock, Sacha and Sierra Moore of West Hartford, Conn.; grandsons, Gregory Moore of Phoenix, Ariz. and Orlando Moore of North Little Rock; and great-grandchildren, Chamese Brewer, Carroll Ray Jones and Makensie, Paytin, Averi and Elliott Moore, of North Little Rock. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 13, 2015, from 6 to 7 p.m. at Mt. Sinai Christian Church, 522 Hickory Street, North Little Rock. The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. at Friendly Chapel Church of the Nazarene, 116 South Pine Street, North Little Rock, followed by interment at Little Rock National Cemetery, 2523 Confederate Blvd., Little Rock.
