MARTHA MARIE ADCOCK, of Little Rock, 57, went home to be with her Jesus on Friday, April 10, 2015. She was born on June 25, 1957 in Little Rock to Edward R. and Cecil Marie (Williams) Adcock. She was an accomplished lawyer. After serving as chief editor of the UALR Law Journal, she began her legal career as law clerk to Chief Justice George Rose Smith of the Arkansas Supreme Court. Martha worked in the private sector for Southwestern Bell before working in nonprofit legal circles for Habitat for Humanity and Family Council. Martha currently served as General Counsel for Arkansas Secretary of State Mark Martin. Martha fervently pursued, both personally and professionally, the preservation of traditional family values including the sanctity of human life and marriage, educational freedom and was an advocate for the elderly and adoption rights. Martha was a Chums AWANA leader, incredible cook, wedding planner extraordinaire and enjoyed praising her Lord with her voice. Sacrificial giver of her time and means, Martha is reunited with her sister Annie and sweet mother for whom she tirelessly cared. Her friendship and contagious laugh will be missed by us all! Survivors include three brothers, Bill Adcock (Judy), Ed Adcock of Little Rock, Kender Adcock (Sue) of Mountain Pine; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Martha was also known as FaFa by her "Adopted Family"- Todd and Tandy Murray, David Todd and Ashley Murray, Benjamin and Heather Hurn, and her "Littles"- Blair, Glenn, and Emma Grace Murray. She will also be missed by her other dear friends whose lives she filled with joy, charisma, and many fond memories. Martha is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Anne and Mary Elizabeth Adcock; and aunt, Ruby Pitcock. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Monday, April 13, at 2nd Baptist Church in Little Rock with Reverend Todd Murray officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to AWANA, P.O.
