Lena "Madie" Jeffers Riggs

Lena "Madie" Jeffers Riggs, of Camden, died April 11, 2015 at Ouachita County Medical Center in Camden at the age of 94. She is the second of the family of six daughters and one son. She is predeceased by her parents, Holly and Lena Jeffers; sister, Sue White; and husband, Jack Riggs. She is survived by siblings, Fann Woodward of Little Rock, Minnie Ward, Berniece Forcht, Callie Pate (Emmett), and Jimmy Jeffers (Josselyn), all of Camden; and many nieces and nephews. A graduate of Sparkman High School, she had a career as a bookkeeper for several businesses in Ouachita County and was co-owner of a RV Sales and Service. Lena was a devout Christian who loved her Lord and family; a patient and charitable person. She gave of herself to many people. One of her characteristics was her love of nieces and nephews whom she sought to teach and inspire. Services will be Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at 3 p.m. at Proctor Funeral Home in Camden. Visitation will be 1– 3 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow at Holly Springs Cemetery at Holly Springs. To sign the online guest register, visit www.proctorfuneralhome.com.
