Alma Dean Johnson

Alma Dean Johnson went to be with the Lord on Sunday. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Fay D. Johnson, sisters, Vesta Barnes and Ophelia Neville. Alma was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She will always be known as "MeeMe" to her loved ones. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, playing bridge, and working in her yard. Birds seemed to fascinate her, and she had quite a collection of ceramic, crystal, and feathered birds. Her zest for life and independent lifestyle gave all of her family and friends awesome memories of her. She was a member of the Central Baptist Church in Bald Knob. Survivors: daughters, Georgia Sue Collison (Billy) and Donna Faye Hammett (Bill); five grandchildren, Bill Collison (Terie), Marla Collison Brown (Kyle), Anthony Hammett (Lindsey), Lori Hammett Jones (Jason), Ryan Hammett (Sherri); great grandchildren, Kristy Collison Ulekowski (Jared), Leah Collison Zils, (Ben), Eric Collison, Cody Brown, Michele Brown, Owen Hammett, Tucker Melton, Hollyn Hammett and Ramsey Jones; great-great grandchildren, Ava and Logan Ulekowski. Also, she has two nephews, Spencer Land (Twyla) and Larry Land (Delois). Visitation: Tuesday, 6-8 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home in Bald Knob.
