Bennie Allen Ladd

Bennie Allen Ladd, 69, of Tupelo, Ark. departed this world on Monday, April 13, 2015. He was a farmer and a man of quality. He was very well known for his tasteful watermelons and his beautiful pumpkins. He is preceded in death by his mother, Wanda Lee Keen; father, Julius (Dude) Ladd; and his sisters, Barbara Ladd Veazey, Betty, Rosemary and Linda Ladd. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Ruth Ladd of the home; two daughters, Angel Pridmore and friend Lisa Lane of Newport, Cindy Lane and husband Chris of Tuckerman; brother-in-law, Steve Gonyer of Tupelo; four grandchildren, Tyler Lane, Haley Pridmore, Paige Lane and Lukas Pridmore; his two faithful companions Abby Jo and Hennio; two nephews, Jason and Brad Veazey; many more friends and relatives. Pallbearers will be Chris Lane, Shawn Pridmore, Lukas Pridmore, Jamie Martinez, Johnny Martinez and Hernan Martinez. Honorary Pallbearers are Dr. Randall Hunt, Nurse Pam Bright, John Conner Jr., Shelly Evans, Dewitt Fortune, Keith Plummer, Doyle Runyan, Carl Rouse, Dallas Peebles, Bill Landreth, Robert Dewitt, Michael Wood, Leroy Bumgardner, Cil and Gary Ryan, Sheila and Sherman Walker, Joyce and Mike Clarkson, his Chemo Nurses and his Mexican Watermelon Crew. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 15, 2015 from 5-7 p.m. at the Bennie Ladd Farm Shop at 2682 Woodruff 187. Funeral Services will also be held on the farm, Thursday at 11 a.m. with burial following at WhiteLake Cemetery. Arrangements by Rhodes & Son Funeral Home, Augusta & McCrory. Casual attire is requested by the family, as this is a working farm.
