Paula Sue Bell Beshears

Paula Sue Bell Beshears of Midland, Texas passed away Sunday morning, April 12, 2015. She was born June 27, 1944 to the late H.H. and Ivon Bell in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. In 1962, Paula graduated from Pine Bluff High School, and then earned her B.A. and M.A. Ed at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro. She was a member of Phi Mu Sorority. Paula then relocated to Midland, Texas in 1968, where she began teaching special education. She was passionate about her special needs students. Paula was a gifted flutist and enjoyed playing in the Midland-Odessa Symphony in the 1960's. She was a devoted member of the P.E.O. as well as the D.A.R. Paula is survived by her daughter, Holly B. Trotta and her husband, David, of North Little Rock; her son, Arthur Bradley Beshears and his wife, Shay, of Midland, Texas; her older sister, Norma Hetzel; her twin sister, Vonna Wood and her husband, Ike; nephews Allen Hetzel and Stephen Hetzel and his wife, Kristy and daughter, Jordan. The family would like to thank Dr. Morgan Sauer and every single staff member at Hospice Home Care in Little Rock, Arkansas. Your love, kindness, and compassion will not be forgotten. We would also like to thank Gillian Glover for her unfailing support and love. Because teaching was Paula's passion and life's work, she requested memorial gifts be made to Kids Need to Read, in order to facilitate the education of children through literacy support.
