Jackie Dailey Foster, 84, of McNeil, AR, passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2015, at her home after a long illness. She was born on September 11, 1930, in the Walkerville community in Columbia County to the late Orville Dailey and Ruby (Hartsell) Dailey. She was married to the late A.L. "Lee" Foster for 63 years. She was a member of Bethel Church of Christ, and enjoyed water aerobics at Southern Arkansas University and attending The Caring Place. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lee Foster; two children, Gary and Karen Foster; brothers, Don and Sanford Dailey; and granddaughter, Tiffany Smith. Jackie is survived by her three children, Kay Smith and husband Jimmy, and Diane Cary all of McNeil, David Lee Foster and wife Rhonda of Rogers, Ark.; a brother, Jerrel Dailey and wife Betty of Magnolia; grandchildren, Chris Roe and wife Jennifer of Birmingham, Ala.; Craig Roe of New York, N.Y.; Theresa McCallie and Julie Embry of Little Rock; Chad Sudbury and wife Brandy of West Memphis; Derek Foster of Rogers; Brittany Patterson and husband, Jordan of Pittsburg, Kan.; Lola Freeman and husband Shane of McNeil; Ashley Smith and wife Anitra of Little Rock. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; Austin Sudbury, Cadence Sudbury, and Canon Sudbury all of West Memphis; Andrew Roe and Ellis Roe of Birmingham; Vivie Embry and Ashton Smith of Little Rock, and Rachael Freeman of McNeil. She is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. Jackie's loving presence touched all who knew her. Her arms were always outstretched to soothe and comfort others, and her home was forever open to any and all in need of refuge and tender care. A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, April 17, 2015, at 10 a.m. at Lewis Funeral Home Chapel with David Lovejoy officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., in Magnolia. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Bethel Church of Christ, 21 Columbia Road 70 North, Waldo, Arkansas 71770.
