Jerry D. Lacey, USAF Retired, Age 84, of Jacksonville, joined his beloved wife Freida, on April 10, 2015, 11 years to the day, of her passing away. He was born May 15, 1930 in Corydon, Iowa, to Harold and Thelma (Latimer) Lacey. Jerry retired after 25 years of military service: serving two tours in Korea (Army and Navy), another in Vietnam (Air Force). Retiring again after 19 years with the US Postal Service. Jerry and Freida were dedicated members of Marshall Road Baptist Church for more than 40 years. They especially enjoyed spending special times with family and friends. Both loved to travel and where thrilled to be able to visit all 50 states. His grandkids who lovingly called him Gpa remember the many "road-trips" they took together. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thelma and Harold Lacey, In-Laws, Lois and A.D. Rinehart wife Freida Rinehart Lacey, son Ronald Paul, sister Majorie Ann, brothers Jack, Nolan, Norman, nephew Rocky Lacey, brother-in-law Roy Rumfelt. He is survived by daughter Vickie Hart (Greg), grandson Joshua Hart (Allison), great granddaughter Hadley, granddaughter Megan Smith (Benjamin) all of Central, Ark., grandson Caleb Lacey of Humble, Texas, sister, Twyla Rumfelt, of Pine Bluffs, WY., brother Mark Lacey (Leilani) of Ocean Shores, Wash., sisters-in-law: Delores Lacey of Oswego Kan., Dee Lacey of Lubbock, Texas, and Sherry Lacey of Gold Canyon, Ariz., along with numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be held at Marshall Road Baptist Church, 821 Marshall Road, Jacksonville, Ark., on Saturday April 18 at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Church.
