Johnny Edward Hinds

Johnny Edward Hinds, 70, passed away in Rogers on April 16, 2015. He was born November 12, 1944 to Mack Lee and Mary Elizabeth Hinds in Booneville, Arkansas. Johnny served in the U.S. Army, worked for Bobby Hopper Ford, and was a firefighter for Springdale Fire Department where he retired as Captain after 32 years. After enjoying a year of retirement, he worked for the City of Lowell as a Building Inspector. He was a member, Sunday School teacher, and church treasurer for Caudle Ave. Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 50 years, Karen Hinds, daughter, Elizabeth Ann Hinds and brother, Virgle Hinds. Survivors include two brothers, William L. Hinds and wife Frances of Graceville, Florida, David Hinds and wife Amanda of Springdale; four sisters; Mary Lou Wiltcher of Hickory, North Carolina; Lena Wright of Springdale; Golda Betterton and husband Bob of Alma; Linda Watson and husband Floyd of Springdale; two sisters-in-law; Betty Hinds and Lisa Turner and her husband Dannie all of Springdale and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at Sisco Funeral Chapel in Springdale on Monday, April 20 at 10 a.m. with Brother Timothy Shaw officiating. Burial will follow at Bluff Cemetery. A public visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 18 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Caudle Ave. Baptist Church, P.O.
