JOE L. AMMONS, 91, of Little Rock passed away Sunday, March 15, 2015. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps, serving during World War II. He retired from careers in construction and sales, and he spent his later years as a limousine driver for the Union Pacific Railroad. He is survived by his wife, Wilma (Miller) Ammons of Little Rock; three daughters, Nancy Malheiro of Marietta, Ga., Denise Felton and Tanya Stillman (Rick) of Maumelle; four sons, Michael Ammons (Lesley) of Cedarburg, Wisc., James Edward Felton, Danny Felton (Becky) of Madison, Miss., and Paul Felton (Beth) of Little Rock; sister, Betty Woolard (Dave) of Kingston, Tenn.; 17 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Glydana Ammons. One of the last things he shared was how blessed he was to have found two wonderful women to marry and how much joy they brought to his life. A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Monday, April 20, 2015, at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery. Arrangements by Smith—North Little Rock Funeral Home.
