Leo Morgan Tracy Jr., 67, passed away on April 19 after a long, courageous battle with cancer. He was born July 13, 1947, in rural Adel, Iowa, to Leo Morgan Tracy and Frances Marie (Hawkins) Tracy. He went to school at De Soto, Iowa, and graduated from Adel/De Soto in 1965. After leaving the service, Leo lived in Missouri and Colorado until he eventually moved to North Little Rock, Arkansas. He retired from Verizon on disability after being diagnosed with cancer. He was a gentle man of many talents, including carpentry and writing, and had a great sense of humor. He loved the outdoors, especially the woods by the farm he grew up on, and the Rocky Mountains. Leo was a member of the Oak Grove Church of Christ, where he found peace and love. He is survived by a daughter, Laura Block, and grandson, Jackson, of Edmond, Oklahoma, two sisters, Wanda (Irwin) Levorson, De Soto, and Betty (Stan) Gustafson, Cumming, Iowa, and one brother, Sidney (Lynne) Tracy, Snohomish, Washington. He is also survived by his loving friend, Jane White, North Little Rock, who cared for him in his final illness, as well as many family members and friends. Leo has donated his body to Genesis Legacy of Life, in Memphis, Tenn. Per his request, there will not be a memorial service.
