Lorine Juanita Arthur passed away April 22, 2015 at her home in Hot Springs, Arkansas. She was the child of Gordon and Alice Linam and was born in Butterfield, Arkansas on February 25, 1921. She attended public school and graduated from Little Rock Central in 1939. She married Norton Lindley Arthur on May 2, 1940 in Malvern, Arkansas. While her husband served in the 8th Air Corps in Europe, in WWII, she and her mother worked in the Arkansas Ordnance Plant in Jacksonville. After the war Lorine and Norton raised their family in Little Rock, Ark. She was active in the PTA and was a member of Oak Forrest Methodist Church. As her children grew older she began to work at Sears in Little Rock in the Catalog Sales Department, where she worked for 20 years. She transferred to Sears in Hot Springs in 1982 and retired in 1984. After retiring she managed Knollwood Apartments where she became a surrogate parent to many of the children who lived with their parents in the apartments. Children were her great love and she was rewarded with many hours spent with children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by Norton Arthur her husband, her parents Gordon and Alice Linam. She is survived by her sister Helen Russell, her children Barry and Patsy Arthur, Linda McGhee and Matt Neighbor and James and LeeAnn Arthur; grandchildren, Quentin Markland, Gabrielle McGhee, Jason Arthur, Michael Arthur, Meredith Castleberry, Clare Mathis, Christine Arthur, Alyssa Arthur, Paige Arthur, Peyton Connelly and Kristine Connelly; nieces and nephews, Rachel, Larry and Warren Lieberman, Kathy and George Lease; great-grandchildren, Laura Markland, Anna Markland, Jack Castleberry, and Eliza Jane Mathis.
