Sharon Lee Gruber, 64, of Fort Smith passed away on April 21, 2015, at Mercy Hospice in Fort Smith. She was born on July 10, 1950, in Brinkley, Ark. She was city clerk in Gillett, Ark., for 15 years and also in Barling, Ark. She had most recently worked in marketing for Hospice, and was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Fort Smith. Sharon is preceded in death by her mother, Billie Jean Garris Holzhauer, and her husband, Bob Gruber. Survivors include her daughter, Sloan Beverburg, Barry Wood, and grandson Brunner Wood of Jersey City, N.J.; her father, Harvey Holzhauer of Gillett; four siblings, Tommy Holzhauer and his wife Margaret of Gillett, Mitzi Dixon and her husband Dennis of Gillett, Ray Holzhauer of Gillett, and Fred Holzhauer and his wife Melissa of Evening Shade; nieces and nephews and their families Shane and Samantha Holzhauer and Lacey and Colby, Maggie Holzhauer, Lyndsey Dilks, Collin and Sloane Holzhauer and Holden, Baylor Dixon, and Chandler and Peyton Holzhauer; and special cousins, Gary and Debbie Holzhauer and their children Zach and Sage Holzhauer. She was a loving daughter, sister, and friend and a beloved mother and GiGi. Sharon loved life and always had a smile on her face. Visitation will be Friday, April 24, 2015, from 5-7 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Gillett. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, April 25 at St. Paul Lutheran Church with burial St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery by Essex Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, P.O.
