Merle Elaine Ursery

Merle Elaine Ursery, 57, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed away April 27, 2015. She was born May 18, 1957 in Washington D.C. to the late Granville Eugene and Geraldine Lee (Murphy) Hopper. Merle's love and compassion was bartending. She worked at several bars in Hot Springs, including the Sawmill for 15 years. Merle was very kind and compassionate and would give you the very shirt off her back. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Warren Hopper. Survivors include children, Timothy Ursery, Steve Ursery, Jennifer Buck (Jeffery) all of Hot Springs; brother, Douglas Hopper (Patricia) of Gaylord, Michigan; sisters, Judy Shepherd (Steve) of Hot Springs, Audrey Holland of Little Rock, Arkansas; grandchildren, Sarah, Savannah, and Charlie Huffman, Lauren Hrdlicka; great-grandchild, Aydan Bell; one niece and five nephews. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home. Service will be 3 p.m. Thursday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home with Pastor Teddy Frye officiating.
