Barbara Jean Priest

Barbara Jean Priest, age 87 of Arkadelphia died Sunday, July 26, 2015. Born Oct. 13, 1927 the daughter of John and Viola Fowler Getty. She was county coordinator of the Senior Companion Program and a member of Al-Anon in five counties for 36 years. Preceded in death by her husband Jessie Priest, brother, Douglas Getty, two sisters, Edith Kleinstuber and Jackie Morton. Survivors include three sons, Jeffrey (Tammie) Priest, Jessie (Teddie) Priest, and John Mark Priest, one daughter, Janis (Harry) Skaggs, sisters, Ada Amine Jaglowski of Malbourh, Conn., five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. A celebration of Barbara's life will be held 10 a.m. Sunday, August 9 at the pavilion at Arlie Moore Landing on DeGray Lake with Lay Pastor Sylvia Tate officiating. Interment will be at a Later date in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Arkadelphia, Ark.
