Edith Christine Horn

EDITH CHRISTINE HORN, 95, of North Little Rock, passed away on July, 31, 2015. She was born in Oppelo to James and Lavada Standridge Mitchell on Jan. 31, 1920. Edith was retired from Westinghouse Lighting Corporation. She was a member of the Levy United Methodist Church, the Eastern Star and the Westinghouse Electric Union Workers. Edith is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Raymond A. Mitchell and his wife, Emmadell and Billy J. Mitchell; sister, Geneva "Judy" Gaither and her husband, R.L.; her first husband, Donald E. Scroggin and second husband, Norman G. "Buster" Horn. She is survived by her daughter, Donna Gale Scroggin; sister, Jean Mitchell Carson; sister-in-law, Dorothy McConnell Mitchell; and numerous extended family members and friends. Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday at the Levy United Methodist Church. Visitation will be Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Smith-North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main Street, 758-1170. Burial will be at Edgewood Memorial Park.
