Frances Ross Greenwood

Frances Ross Greenwood, age 94, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at Twin Rivers Health and Rehabilitation Center in Arkadelphia. She was born June 1, 1921 in Little Rock, the daughter of the late Edward and Lelah Ross. Frances was a retired book keeper and key punch operator. She was active for many years in the organization Women in Construction and Arkansas DeMolay Mothers Club. Frances was an active member for many years at Woodhaven Baptist Church in Little Rock. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Edward Greenwood Sr., her brother, Buddy Ross, her sisters, Carrie Block, Marguerite McCreight and Betty Thomas. Frances is survived by one son, Jack Greenwood and his wife Patty of Arkadelphia, two grandsons, Jack (Eddie) Greenwood III and his wife Charlie of Nevada City, Calif., Alan Greenwood and his wife Laura of Conway, two great-grandchildren, Bailey and Jack Greenwood IV (Jax) of Nevada City, Calif., and a host of nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, August 7, 2015 at Little Rock National Cemetery, 2523 Confederate Blvd., Little Rock, Ark. 72206, with Dr. Lee McGlone officiating. No Visitation will be held. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 623 Pine Street, Arkadelphia, Ark. 71923. Final arrangements are entrusted to The Welch Funeral Home of Arkadelphia.
