Elsie Lockard, age 87, of North Little Rock, died Tuesday, August 4, 2015, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 11, 1927 to Leo Hudson and Gracie Arnold Hudson. Miss Elsie, as she was known by many, loved children and spent more than 15 years providing in-home daycare for babies and toddlers, who she thought of as her adopted grandchildren. In more recent years she loved to spend time working in her yard and just being with her family. Her survivors include two sons, Larry Lute, Sr. and wife Joyce B. of Mayflower, Burt Lockard and wife Susan of Conway; two daughters, Betty Healey and husband John of Little Rock, Carol Lockard of North Little Rock; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and one brother, Charles Hudson and wife Doris of London. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 44 years, William E. Lockard; infant daughter, Cynthia; one brother, Buddy Hudson; and two sisters, Mary Louise and Mary Bernice. Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, August 10th, 2015 at Roller-Owens Funeral Home Chapel, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd., North Little Rock, (501) 791-7400 with burial to follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. The Family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Sunday, August 9, 2015 at the funeral home.
