Tracy John Rowell, 54, died Saturday, August 8, 2015 after a long battle with cancer. Born March 17, 1961 in Hot Springs, he lived majority of his life in Little Rock. Tracy passed at home in the arms of his wife, with his brother and a dear friend by his side. Tracy had a passion for the outdoors. He found his solace deep in the woods observing the gifts of nature, mesmerized by the beauty of the land. He was an avid hunter who took pride in his ethical hunting values; always dropping to a knee to give thanks to God for the gift of the bounty. Tracy was fortunate to attend elk hunts in Colorado, fishing with friends in the Florida Keys, and he hosted many duck hunts for friends and colleagues here in Arkansas. His most treasured moments were those spent with his wife, hunting and hiking in woods with their three dogs. Tracy worked many years as a representative in Customer Sales/Marketing for the banking and finance industry. He was considered one of the best representatives in the region. His honest reputation and outgoing personality gained him many lifelong friends, whom he kept in contact with over the years. Tracy is survived by his soul mate and wife, Rachelle "Rikki" Minyard; daughters, Sarah and Emily Rowell; two step-children and grandsons; Mother, Norma Rowell Shipper; Brother, Stephen Rowell; Nephew, Joseph Rowell and five step-siblings. Tracy is preceded in death by his father, Cliff Rowell and brother, Lance Clifford Rowell. A memorial service for Tracy will be held on Thursday August 13, 2015 in the Little Rock Suite, Clarion Hotel, Midtown 925 S. University Ave., Little Rock, Ark. 72204, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. A Celebration of Life will be held at his home in Conway Saturday August 15, 2015, 5 p.m.
