Jeffrey Wayne Harrison gained his angel wings on Saturday, Aug. 15, 2015. Jeff was born on April 6, 1968 in Little Rock, Ark. He graduated from McClellan High School and Henderson State University with a Bachelor's of Science in Aviation. He was united in marriage to Michelle Mathis Harrison, and they were blessed with two wonderful children, Shelby and Collin of Bryant. He was a loving husband and father, devoted son, brother, uncle, and loyal friend. He was a devout Christian and an active member of Geyer Springs Baptist Church. Jeff's faith was a testimony and inspiration to all who knew him. Jeff served in the Arkansas Air National Guard as a Crew Chief with thE 188th Fighter Wing from 1991 to 1995. An active pilot in the central Arkansas area, Jeff flew charter, airlines, and corporate ending the last 16 years of his career with Stephens Inc. Jeff had a love of music, especially classic rock and could frequently be found jamming on his Black Pearl drum set. Always the adventurer, he loved recreational flying, riding Harleys, and hunting with his family. Jeff had a love of classic tractors and restored his grandfather's 1937 John Deere. What Jeff treasured most was spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Michelle; daughter, Shelby; son, Collin; his parents, Tyler and Charlotte Harrison; brother, Steve Harrison (Karen); in-laws, Gerald and Linda Mathis; sister-in-law, Teri Kerr (Doug); brother-in-law, Mark Mathis (Donetta); many nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends. The family would like to thank Dr. Corey Montgomery and nurse, Carla; Dr. Tom Temple and Dr. Alan Livingston (nurses); Dr. Ehab Eltahawy and nurse, Moni; Baptist Family Clinic; UAMS; and Saline Memorial Home Health and Hospice of Bryant. Words can never express our appreciation for the outpouring of love from the community. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 17 and a celebration of life on Tuesday, Aug. 18 at 1 p.m. Both services will be held at Geyer Springs Baptist Church in Little Rock. Burial will follow at 3:30 p.m. at Macedonia Cemetery in Sparkman, Ark. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Jeffrey W. Harrison Henderson Aviation Scholarship Fund, c/o Arvest Bank.
