Earl McGlen Thompson

Earl McGlen "Glen" Thompson, 78, of Mabelvale passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2015. He was born March 10, 1937 in Clark Co., Arkansas to Rubert and Corrine Thompson. Glen loved his family and working for ABF as a diesel mechanic for 35 years. After a few months of retirement, he went to work with his best friend, Walter Thompson as an equipment manager for Thompson Electric. Glen was a member of Cornerstone Church of the Nazarene for over 50 years. He was preceded in death by one son, Lewis Paul Thompson. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Rachel Thompson; son, David Glen Thompson; grandson, Nicholas Thompson; one great grandchild on the way; and one brother, Jack Thompson. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m., Friday, August 21, 2015 at Griffin Leggett Forest Hills Funeral Home with visitation being held one hour prior at 9 a.m. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park.
