George G. Dalton

George G. Dalton's journey on this Earth ended on August 18, 2015 at Mercy Medical in Rogers, Ark. surrounded by his family. He was born April 7, 1936 to Ruthella Wray and George W. Dalton in Albany, Kentucky. George grew up on a farm in Greensboro, Indiana and served for several years in the U.S. Marine Corp. George married Patricia Ellis, March 30, 1981 in Lake Tahoe, Nevada. He retired from the grocery business in California in 1986 after 25 years with Alpha Beta. Later that same year George & Pat moved to Missouri where they eventually settled in Pineville. They moved to Bella Vista, Ark. in 2014. George was a kind, generous man who never had an unkind word to say about anyone. He was a hard-working man. He was always there for his family and always put family first. George was a loving husband, father and grandfather an inspiration for his entire family. He will be deeply missed but the family takes comfort in knowing he's at peace and is now with his family that passed before him. Some of his most cherished memories were of coaching his sons' baseball teams, Dalton Family Reunions, family vacations, holidays, Mexican Train Dominoes and joshing his grandchildren. George loved his biscuits & gravy, coffee, cigarettes and conversation at the round table with his friends at the Pineville cafe'. George was always up for a trip to the casino. George was preceded in death by two brothers, Bud Dalton and Sam Dalton, three sisters Marie Milz, Velma Levins and Gay Smith and son, Glen Dalton. George is survived by his wife of 34 years, Patricia Dalton and seven children, George "Pudgie" Dalton, Wanda Dalton, Frieda Smith, Douglas Dalton, Nickie Pederson, Josh Dalton and Jillian Cash. Grandchildren, Dawn Shelby, Shawn Dalton, Keith Dalton, Tori Dalton, Allie Pederson, Micayla Hoffman, Victoria Cash, Sydnie Pederson, Dalton Cash, Elizabeth Cash, Ava Dalton, Vivian Dalton and great-grandchildren, Alexis Shelby, Reyna Shelby, Ruby Dalton, Ezra Dalton, Nora Mae Dalton and Joseph Dalton. A Celebration of George's Life will be held at the Bella Vista Funeral Home, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, Ark. 72715 on Friday, August 21, 2015 from 6–8 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family is asking for you to exhibit an act of kindness for a friend, neighbor or stranger as this is the life George led.
