Kailyn Makenzie "K Kay" Thomas, 14, of Cabot, Arkansas, passed from this life on Tuesday, August 18, 2015, at Arkansas Children's Hospital. She was born February 16, 2001, in North Little Rock, to Corey and Amber Thomas. She was a member of the Assembly in Cabot and belonged in the youth services, and also attended Liberty Baptist Church. Kailyn always had a smile on her face and the ability to make others smile. She picked up every baby she saw, she had a very special way with them. She loved to sing, swim, fish, ride dirt bikes, bake cakes, and roller skate at Joyland in Cabot. She especially enjoyed trips to the dollar store with her Papa Sam. She also enjoyed the annual fishing derby with her Poppy and Grammy. She was a member of the 8th grade class at Cabot Jr. High School-South, where she was active with the Archery Team, Choir and the Cabot Piranhas Swim Team. She is lovingly remembered by her parents, Amber Thomas, of Cabot. Corey and wife Tracy Thomas, both of Cabot; her brothers and sisters, Sammy Thomas, Paiton Campbell, William Niles, Dakota Pendergrass, all of Cabot; and Destiny Johnston of San Diego, California; grandparents, Sam and Robin Manor of Sherwood; Frank and Marla Yost of Mansfield, Texas; Karen and Mitchel Cleveland of Cabot; Richard and Rita Thomas of Leslie, Arkansas; and so many other family members and friends, who loved her dearly. You may join Kailyn's family for a visitation on Friday, August 21, 2015, at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Funeral will be 2:30 p.m., Saturday, at the funeral home, Bro. Paul Rice will officiate. Burial to follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park, under the direction of Griffin Leggett Rest Hills.
