William (Bill) Robertson, 74, of Bella Vista Arkansas slipped from this world August 17, 2015. He was born in Reno, Nevada to Edward and Stella Robertson. Bill had a varied career starting as a banker at First National Bank of Nevada in Reno, then as a Washoe County Deputy Sheriff in charge of Gaming Tax and Liquor Licenses; and owner of Pinecone Landscape. During his law enforcement career he was one of the original founding members of the Washoe County Hastey Team, which was the first search and rescue, auto extrication team in the county. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve stationed out of Alameda, Calif. Bill was a fishing and hunting enthusiast enjoying all activities of the outdoors. He believed in enjoying, protecting and conserving our natural resources. Bill was an avid outdoor photographer. Upon settling in Bella Vista in 1999 he helped organize the volunteers of Tanyard Creek Nature Trail for 10 years. He was a Benton County Master Gardner, obtaining Master Gardener of the Year Award; a Northwest Arkansas Master Naturalist, obtaining Volunteer of the Year Award; a Master Brewer, and a Master Fly Tier. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Emily, of 35 years, daughter, Lora Zale, grandsons, Austin and Parker Palmieri of Gilbert Arizona; sister, Cynthia Smith her husband, Bob, of Morrison Colorado.
