Jerry Wayne Faulkner Jr.

Jerry Wayne Faulkner Jr., 46, of Searcy, Ark., left to be with our Lord on Friday, Aug. 21, 2015. He was born July 27, 1969 in Wynne, Ark. to Jerry W. Faulkner Sr., and Shirley (Brown) Faulkner. Jerry was a loving husband, devoted son, brother and friend and will be sorely missed. A graduate of Center Hill School, Jerry worked with his father in the restaurant business for a number of years. Afterwards he worked as a dispatcher with the Searcy Police Department for ten years then finally for Spitale Transportation since 2002. Jerry was a volunteer for the Center Hill Fire Department since 1987 except for the four years he lived in Trumann, Ark. He started as a volunteer and served the last several years as Fire Chief. Saved as a child, then baptized in the Holy Ghost at age 14, Jerry was faithful to his Lord and Savior. He preached his first sermon at age seven and his last sermon last Saturday night, "Whom Say Ye that I Am?". Jerry was faithful to his wife, faithful to his family, and faithful to his church. He was the most giving person you could meet and was driven to succeed so that each year he could give a little more. He was unashamed of who he was, what he believed, and the people he loved. Jerry is survived by his wife of 23 years, Amy Faulkner; parents, one sister, LaJanna Myers (Brian), of Searcy, his Grandma Brown, and many nieces and nephews, friends and family. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Hubert and Geneva Faulkner and Hubert Brown. Visitation will be Sunday, Aug. 23, 2015, from 6 p.m.. to 8 p.m. at Searcy McEuen Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Monday, Aug. 24, 2015, at 10 a.m. at Mt. Zion Christian Fellowship Church, followed by interment at Center Hill Presbyterian Cemetery. All arrangements have been entrusted to Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home. Share a memory: wwwSearcyMceuenFuneralHome.com.
