On the afternoon of August 21, 2015, Dakota passed away at his home in Little Rock, Ark. He was 20 years old. Dakota Crow was born in Little Rock, Ark. on November 1, 1994, the first child of Terri Crow and Jeff Crow. He is survived by his parents; brother, Jacob Thomas Crow; grandparents, Relton and Merl Spann; uncle Steve and Debi Spann all of Little Rock and aunt Sharon and Jim Wells of Springdale, Ark., cousins, friends, and a very special friend. Dakota attended Estem Charter School in Little Rock where he graduated in 2013. He was attending the University of Arkansas and would have been a junior majoring in chemical engineering. Dakota was a beautiful, loving boy but a demon known as depression consumed him. Although he struggled daily to find happiness and freedom, it defeated him and took his life. To anyone finding themselves in a similar situation there are many depression treatment centers in the area that can help. Funeral arrangements are being provided by Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, 13801 Chenal Pkwy., Little Rock, Ark. (501) 224-8300. The Celebration of his life will be held Thursday at 6 p.m. at Trinity Assembly of God Church, 11120 Cantrell Rd., Little Rock, Ark. The service will be officiated by Irene Mitchell and Rev. Dwayne Maynard. Honorary pallbearers are Jacob Crow, Ike Ferrell, Hayden Ferrell, Nathan Traub, Anthony Hughes, Addie Smith, Kasi Kready, Claire Vogelgesang, Courtney Gough, Ashleigh Chaney, Tara Sheikha, and Sammye Kagy. The family asks that any memorial donations be made to a depression treatment center or organization of your choice such as NAMI, National Alliance of Mental Illness at 1012 Autumn Rd #1, Little Rock, Ark. 72211, (501) 661-1548.
