G. Wayne Cash, age 82, passed away Aug. 24, at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville. Wayne was born July 17, 1933 in Bentonville to the late Oscar and Lois (McCool) Cash. He graduated from Bentonville High School in 1951 and served 2 years in the US Army. He attended the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville and graduated from the U of A in 1956 with a Bachelor's degree in Geology. He worked for Phillips Petroleum in Bartlesville, Oklahoma for 25 years as a systems analyst, and took early retirement to return to Bella Vista. Wayne enjoyed playing golf, square dancing, and was a passionate Razorback fan. He was a member of Bentonville First United Methodist Church. He is survived by three sisters, Ozell Sooter, Margie Tucker, and Linda Rush all of Bentonville; two nephews, John Sooter of Bentonville and Rob Tucker of Tulsa; two nieces, LeAnn Tunzi (Tom) of Glendale, California and Terri Tucker of Alpine, Texas; four great-nephews, Chris Sooter (Wendy) of Bentonville, Alex Tunzi of Glendale, California, David Cosper (Lindsey) of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Leo Cosper of Tulsa; three great-nieces, Jordan Sooter of Bentonville, Lauren Tunzi of Glendale, California, and Kaycee Cosper of Tulsa; three great-great nephews; his special friend, Barbara Kulwicki, and a host of friends and extended relatives. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, August at the Bentonville First United Methodist Church, 201 N.W. 2nd Street. No Visitation. Interment will follow in the Bentonville Cemetery. Arrangements are by Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the ALS Association of Arkansas, 1200 W. Walnut, Suite 2309, Rogers, Ark. 72756.
