Lorraine Teague Wilson

Lorraine Teague Wilson, 85, of Beebe, Arkansas, peacefully went to her Lord on August 25, 2015. Born May 24, 1930, Lorraine was the third child of Otto Warren and Lydia Lois Teague. She attended Pine Bluff High School and was a graduate of Hendrix College, where she met her husband of 57 years, Bennie Dial Wilson. Lorraine taught sixth grade before staying home to raise a family in Beebe. She later returned to education, finishing her career as a second grade teacher. Lorraine was an active member of First United Methodist Church of Beebe, where she participated in the Susanna Wesley Circle and sang in the choir. Her rendition of "O Holy Night" was a Christmas Eve service favorite for many years. Her other interests included spending time with her family and friends, baking delicious pies, shopping for hours on end and reading countless books. Along with her parents, Lorraine was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bennie, her son-in-law, Kenny W. Hartwick, and her granddaughter, Kendal Kaye Hartwick. Lorraine is lovingly remembered by her daughters Lynn (Henry) Watkins of O'Fallon, Missouri, Debra (Corky) Thomas of Beebe, and Diana Hartwick of Vilonia; one sister, Elizabeth Workman, and brothers Otto (Jeanne) Teague, Sam (Carole) Teague, and David (Mary Jane) Teague; five grandchildren, Kara (Eric) Williams, Kyle Hartwick, Alyson (Greg) Stewart, Bailey Thomas and Shelbie Thomas; five great-grandchildren whom she adored and many cherished nieces, nephews and friends. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, August 28, 2015, at First United Methodist Church of Beebe. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, 302 N. Main, Beebe, Ark. 72102.
