Karen Lynn Jarratt Preston, age 66, of White Hall, died Friday, Aug. 28, 2015. She was born Oct. 11, 1948 at Warren, the daughter of the late Clay Jarratt and Evelyn Rabelais Jarratt. Karen was reared and educated at Warren and was a graduate of Warren High School. She was also a graduate of the University of Arkansas at Monticello, where she was a member of Alpha Sigma Alpha sorority. A resident of White Hall since 1978, she was a member of White Hall United Methodist Church. For a number of years, Karen had worked at several financial institutions in Pine Bluff, including Guarantee Federal Savings and Loan, First South, and Simmons First National Bank. She retired from the City of White Hall as water clerk. Survivors include her husband of 37 years, Scott Preston, Sr., whom she married on Oct. 1, 1978 in Pine Bluff; a sister, Kathryn Jarratt Burke; a daughter, Rachael Burks (James); two sons, Scott Preston, Jr. and Clayton Preston; five grandchildren: Brittney Burks, Morgan Tate Preston, Hayden Preston, Carter Preston, and Murphy Preston; two nieces, Ashley Montgomery (Drew), and Amber Hale; five grand nieces and nephews: Autumn Smith, Chase Smith, Samantha Montgomery, Canon Hale, and Victoria Hale; along with many other loving family and friends. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, Aug. 31, 2015, 4 p.m. at White Hall United Methodist Church with Rev. Ben Crismon officiating. Visitation will follow the service.
