James "Jim" A. Pierce

On August 30, 2015, James "Jim" A. Pierce of Hot Springs Village went to meet his Savior at the age of 72. He was born Oct. 18, 1942. Jim was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He loved spending time with his family. He was retired from the Dallas County Sheriff's Department and a retired fireman from the Fordyce Fire Department. He was a true Arkansas Razorback fan. He loved sports and hunting. He also loved the game of golf. He was a joy to be around. He was preceded in death by his father, A.V. "Mutt" Pierce; mother, Willie Faye Pierce; sisters, Jean Ann Johnston and Becky Faye Pierce. He is survived by his wife, Gloria Hauteen Pierce; daughter, Kim Hughes and husband, Charlie; son, James "Shoney" Pierce and wife, Cheryl; grandsons: Christopher Johnston, Houston and Max Pierce; stepgranddaughter, Stacy Hughes and stepgreat-granddaughter, Kylee Hough. Visitation will be Monday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Funeral services will be 3 p.m., Tuesday at the Benton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jon Stubblefield and Rev. Willard Zeiser officiating. Burial will follow at Stoney Point Cemetery.
