Susan Schmid Puddephatt

Susan Schmid Puddephatt, age 66, of Pine Bluff, died Sunday, November 29, 2015. She was born July 12, 1949 to Herman Hodge Schmid and Mary Kathleen Leibenguth at Springfield, OH. Her family moved to Pine Bluff in 1959, and she graduated from Pine Bluff High School in 1967, where she was a member of the A Cappella Choir. For many years, Susan worked as a travel consultant for Time Travel and Goodwin Travel Agencies. She had also been a manager for Adventure Travel, and retired in 2001. Susan was a very active member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where she served as a greeter and sang in the choir. Her past activities included coordinating rummage sales to raise funds for needed kitchen appliances for the church, and preparing the altar for services. She was a loving wife, mother, homemaker, and a caregiver for many years for her parents and mother-in-law, Georgia Puddephatt. Her parents preceded her in death along her mother-in-law, and an infant grandson, Patrick Joe Puddephatt. Survivors include her husband, William Donald "Don" Puddephatt, whom she married on November 21, 1967 at Trinity Lutheran Church; two sons, William Scott Puddephatt (Penny) and Bryan Russell Puddephatt (Heather); five grandchildren, Faith Puddephatt, Hope Puddephatt, Briana Thompson (Kenny), Jordan Spakes (Shawn), and David Hall (Karen); four great-grandchildren, Briar, Drake, and Kennedy Thompson, and Brenya Hall; and her siblings, Sarah Bond (Mike), Pat Parsley (David), and Peter Schmid (Kelly). Funeral services will be Thursday, 10 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Dean Clausing officiating. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery by Fuller Hale-South Funeral Services. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
