Dorothy Lovell Sisk, 92, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2015. She was born on November 12,1923 in Cotton Plant to Lucy and Arthur Lovell. She was a graduate of Wynne High School and attended St. Joseph School of Nursing in Memphis. She and H.P. Sisk married on November 28, 1942. She was a member of the Parkin First United Methodist Church and was active in her community and in her children's lives and school activities. She especially loved the beauty of her flowers, the pleasures of travel, the joy of cooking, and her treasured family. Dorothy is survived by her beloved husband of 73 years, H.P. Sisk, and by their three children, Carol Thomason and husband, Gene of Hot Springs, Richard Sisk and wife, Sharon and Jeff Sisk and wife Donna, all of Wynne as well as 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by sisters, Joanne Lovell and Betty Jordan both of Parkin; brothers, James Lovell of Marion and Larry Lovell of Bradenton, Florida, and special nephew, Lance Lovell and his family of Wynne. The family deeply appreciates her devoted primary caregivers, Becky Dixon, Connie Nichols, Freda Jones and Martha Key. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, Tommy Lovell and Robert Lovell. A private graveside service will be held on Friday at 2 p.m. at the Veteran's cemetery at Birdeye. Visitation will be Saturday in Fellowship Hall of the Parkin First United Methodist Church from 10-11 a.m. followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. in the sanctuary. In lieu of flowers, a memorial gift may be made to the Parkin First United Methodist Church, P.O.Box 291, Parkin, Ark. 72373. Kernodle Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
