Duene Bailey

Duene Bailey, age 86, of Greers Ferry, Arkansas, passed away on December 7, 2015 in Clinton, Arkansas. Born on August 2, 1929 in Cleburne County, Arkansas, she was the daughter of the late Jesse and Mary Ella Carlton Bittle. Duene was a loving daughter wife, mother, sister and grandmother. She had a love for quilting. She had worked for many years as a dietitian for the West Side School in Greers Ferry, Arkansas. She was a member of the Eastern Star and also a member of the West Side Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dolan Bailey, her sons, Gary Don Bailey and Steven Wade Bailey and a sister Bernice Bittle Adams. She is survived by her son, Dennis Bailey and his wife Karen of Fordyce, Arkansas and a sister, Velma Bittle Norman and her husband Jim of Heber Springs, Arkansas, six grandchildren, Brooks Bailey, Morgan Thomason, Bronson Bailey, Whitney Holland, Kaitlyn Jennings and Brittany Cooper, two great-grandchildren, three nephews and one special aunt Pearl Turney. Mrs. Bailey is also survived by her other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, December 10, 2015 in the Shiloh Community Church with funeral services following at 2 p.m. with Bro. Dennis Knapp officiating. Interment will follow in the Shiloh Crossroads Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brooks Bailey, Bronson Bailey, Hunter Thomason, Thomas Cooper, Reed Holland and Jan Jennings.
