Susan Lynette Garoutte, 55, of Cabot, went to be with the lord on Dec. 8, 2015. She was born May 12, 1960 to the late Paul Moore and Alice Western-Moore. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Kindall Moore. They say April showers bring May flowers. That couldn't be more true for Susan. She had long been a bright and positive light in the lives of those around her. She loved to help people and it brought her great joy to see the benefits of those she helped. Susan brought such happiness to the people around her, from her family, to her coworkers and friends; she just knew how to help those in need, and often made great sacrifices for the benefit of others. Having graduated from School of the Ozarks in Missouri for Theatre and Speech Communication, Susan had a great passion for the performing arts, particularly singing. As an avid member of the First Baptist Church of Cabot, she often participated with the choir during various celebrations, including the annual Christmas Service. Her love for music can still be seen in her children; Wes Moore, Laura Garoutte, and Devin Garoutte; and her grandchildren, Danielle, Michael, and Madyson. Above all, Susan had a nurturing and serving spirit, and she truly loved to help people. God worked through her to make the lives of others better; and she often donated time assisting others. She brought hope to those who struggled, and were in need. She exemplified what it was to love others even when it was hard, and she could be counted on to bring a new and creative light to shine upon a problem and find the solution. Susan also loved to travel. She could be found on a weekend excursion, summer vacation, or on a cruise with her husband. She could go anywhere, and be thrilled for the experience. She had a love and appreciation for history, and her travels often involved national and state parks, such as, Bar Harbor and Three Bear Dunes. In all, Susan was loved by everyone who knew her and loved them in return. She was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend; and everything she did was for the glory of God. Susan is survived by her dear husband, Dennis; her sisters Deborah Mullen, Pam Barone, and Rebeccah Guthrie (Charlie); sons, Wes Moore (Aimee), and Devin Garoutte; daughter, Laura Garoutte; and grandchildren, Danielle Versher, Michael Garoutte, and Madyson Moore. To the family, friends, and loved ones whose lives were touched by this amazing woman, visitation will be Monday, Dec. 14, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. at Moore's Cabot Funeral. A memorial service will be Tuesday, December 15, at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Cabot, to remember and mourn heaven's new angel. To honor Susan's memory, please help us celebrate her life by wearing a festive/Hawaiian shirt, if desired. Donations may be made to the Global Missions Offering at First Baptist Church of Cabot, 204 N. 3rd St., Cabot, Ark. 72023.
