Eugene Lee Young went to be with His Lord on December 13, 2015. Eugene was born March 29, 1928 to Tom and Lola Young of Fordyce, Ark. He married the love of his life Dorothy Young on June 15, 1947 and recently celebrated their 68th Wedding Anniversary. Eugene was preceded in death by his parents Tom and Lola Young, four brothers Cleburne, Margene, Vernon and Tommy Young, and one sister Ollie Young; Survived by his beautiful wife Dorothy Nutt Young, two sons Larry E Young (Donna) of Marion, Ark., and William E Young (Angela) of Bryant, Ark.; three granddaughters, Harmony Young Romo (Nico) of Charleston S.C., Carmen Young Phillips (Robin) of Bryant, Ark., and Madison Young of Huntsville, Ala.; two great-grandsons, John Tyler Young and Trevor Phillips of Bryant, Ark.; three great-granddaughters, Teagan Phillips and Tinsley Phillips of Bryant, Ark., and Elsa Romo of Charleston, S.C. He also leaves behind many more loving nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Eugene served his country in the 50's in Arkansas National Guard. Eugene had a long successful career with Kroger eventually retiring after 29 years. He then went to work for Huckaby's Thriftway in Magnolia and ended his career at Furniture Land in Magnolia, where he made many long lasting friendships. He was a member in the Central Baptist Church in Magnolia, where he was a member for over 40 years. Eugene became a Mason of the level Master Mason in Fordyce, Ark., 1950. He was also a member of the Lions Club of Magnolia. Visitation with the family will be at Lewis Funeral Home in Magnolia, Ark., Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2015 beginning at 10 a.m. with a memorial service to follow at 11 a.m. There will be a graveside service at 2 p.m. at Oakland Cemetery in Fordyce, Ark., by Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce. www.lewisfuneralhome.biz.
