Susan Thomas Horner

Susan Thomas Horner, 70, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed away on December 16, 2015 at home. She was born in Little Rock, Arkansas to her parents, Michael H. Thomas and Marvia M. Thomas. Susan had a love for family, flowers, cooking, golf, and was an avid Razorback fan. She was a loving mother, grandmother, wife and sister, and had a host of dear friends. Her strength and courage throughout her illness taught us valuable lessons of grace and humility. Susan is preceded in death by her parents, Mike and Marvia Thomas of Little Rock; brothers, Pat Thomas of Little Rock, Mike Thomas of Houston, Texas; and father-in-law, Roth John Horner, Sr. of Hot Springs. Susan is survived by her husband, R.J. Horner Jr. of Hot Springs; mother-in-law, Sophie Jean Horner of Hot Springs; daughter, Heather Horner Overton and fiance', Breck Wilson; son, Roth John Horner III and wife, Carla Batton Horner; daughter, Angie Horner Tankel and husband, Marc; sister, Kathy Thomas Moss and husband, Mike; grandchildren, Cole Moore, Sophie Overton, Emma Moore, Olivia Overton, Will Overton, Ellee Grace Horner, Brooke Tankel, Mia Tankel, Hannah Blake Tankel; many nieces and nephews; and four loving caregivers, Sandra, Robin, Dee, and Libby. There will be a memorial service 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 29, 2015, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hot Springs, Arkansas, with a reception to follow in the Parish Hall.
