Jack Buddy Holt
Jack Buddy Holt, 88, passed away December 15, 2015 at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. He was born in Harrison on June 29, 1927, the son of J.B. and Ruby Coker Holt. He was a lifelong resident of Harrison.
Jack was a self-employed business owner in Harrison for 60 years. He retired as a Captain from the Arkansas National Guard having 28 years of service. He was a Korean War veteran, being mobilized with the local 936th Field Artillery Battalion in August 1950 and serving in Korea in 1951.
He was a U. S. Army Distinguished Pistol Shot and was a member of the Arkansas National Guard, Army Reserve, and All Guard Pistol Teams. He was a member of the Northside Church of Christ in Harrison.
He is survived by Anna, his wife of 61 years, son Robert Holt and wife Katie of Harrison, daughter Susan Holt of Little Rock, grandson Richard Holt and wife Hollianne of Fayetteville, granddaughter Anna Kate Holt of Fayetteville and her fiancé Joshua Coody of Lawton, Oklahoma; one sister, Wanda McConnell of Little Rock and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Harold Holt.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, December 21, 2015 at Northside Church of Christ with Richie Poe officiating. Interment will follow in Maplewood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m., Sunday, December 20, 2015 at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.
