Lester Friedlund

Lester Friedlund, 94, of Conway, went to be with the Lord Dec. 18, 2015. He was born Oct. 8, 1921 in Chicago Ill. to Ernest and Edith Friedlund. Lester was married for over 53 years to the late Ida Marie. They were members of the Rebel Reelers dance group and loved square dancing. Lester received the Purple Heart serving in the Navy during WWII. He is survived by two sons, Randy and Rodney Friedlund; six grandkids: Billy Shadell, Bobby Shadell, Amanda Plum, Kenzie Padilla, Becca Friedlund, Chantill Jennings; 11 great-grandkids: Courtney Shadell, Cescelie Shadell, Kyle Shadell, Tanner Shadell, Madison Shadell, Zoe Plum, Zander Plum, Jocelyn Jennings, Kayson Jennings, Jaxsen Jennings, Ayden Padilla; great-great-grandkid, Lucian Shadell. Lester is preceded in death by his loving wife; parents; son, Russell Friedlund; and brother, Bernie Friedlund.
